Extra Steps Our Office is Taking to Keep You Healthy

Today more than ever, your health and safety is of utmost importance. At Kazmer Periodontics and Implant Dentistry, we are going to do everything it takes to keep it that way, taking all reasonable measures. If you’ve been in to see us recently, you’ve witnessed first -hand the enhanced protocols we have put in place.

In addition to following all of the current published health and safety guidelines, we have recently implemented an additional safety measure in our office to assure your health. 

According to The New England Journal of Medicine, viral particles like COVD-19, can stay contagious in the air. Using Hypochlorous acid (HOCL) via an ultra-low volume cold fogger is the best solution to “clean” the air. In addition, this fog gets into hard-to-reach “crevices” of the office. 

In addition to our routine hospital-grade sanitation, after every procedure, our treatment rooms are fogged. Our hallways, business areas and restrooms are also treated multiple times a day. Is this overkill? Probably, but we take your health and ours very seriously!

Hypochlorous acid is 70-80 times more efficient at killing viruses and microbial pathogens than chlorine bleach. Unlike chlorine bleach, HOCL is 100% safe and non irritating. If it gets on our skin or in your eyes, it will not burn. Even if it were accidentally ingested, it is completely harmless. 

HOCL is used in healthcare settings, food safety, sanitation and the hospitality industry,  (cruiseships and hotels).
