Covid-19 Response: We are a proud IQAir Clean Air Facility

Several weeks ago I had sent an update on advanced measures we are taking at Kazmer 
Periodontics and Implant Dentistry to keep you and our team safe in this era of COVID-19. 

Despite the risks COVID poses, the good news is that both the World Health Organization and the CDC say there have been no confirmed cases of COVID-19 transmitted in a dental office so far.

Since safety has always been our top priority, we continue to invest in and implement additional technologies above and beyond what the state and federal government mandates. 

Shortly after reopening in June, we started fogging all operatories after every procedure along with our waiting room, hallways, business areas and restrooms.  According to the New England Journal of Medicine, ultra-low volume cold fogging is the best solution to “clean” the air and surfaces of any potential viral particles.
 
In August, we added IQAir extraoral suction air purification systems in our treatment rooms. This Swiss made Hyper-HEPA filtration technology provides a line of defense against harmful airborne pathogens and infectious material. This technology can reduce aerosol levels, bacterial colonies, and airborne viral particles from dental procedures to almost zero. We are proud to have been designated as an IQAir Clean Air facility. 

We know that viruses and other contaminants can spread through the air. This duel-approach we have implemented maximizes your safety and ours – Hyper-HEPA filtration offers proven protection against viruses, bacteria and pathogens, preventing them from becoming airborne – and fogging eliminates any potential airborne viral particles that may have escaped, and cleans the air and surfaces.
